A big, bold, nicely rich take on Montepulciano d’Abruzzo with enough freshness and verve to work at table and keep you coming back for more.  Plenty of classic dark black fruit – cherries, berries, plums – here with a dollop of dark chocolate and pinch of sweet oak spice. With a little time in the glass, the fruit gets fresher and spice comes on even more through a flowing, finely tannic, finish.  A great burger, steak and grilled mushroom wine.

For You If:   You like the classic black fruit + chocolate character of Montepulciano in a clean, fresh, style; you’re an American Cabernet drinker after something Italian that’s easy to appreciate and enjoy.

Not For You If:   You’re looking for earthy/funky Montepulciano or Rioja-levels of wood – this is clean and just lightly spiced.
