Organic/Bio Lower ABV Consistently one of the finest and most complex examples of Marche Verdicchio, this moves beyond just fruit and minerality to add layers of nuttiess and dried floral notes. The complexity comes from old vines and old clones - two of the five clones that make up the wine are no longer available for planting at all- and 12 months in cement tank on the lees. James Suckling's 94 point write-up on the 2020 tells you what to expect here: "Subtle notes of white pepper and seaweed, elegant iodine minerality, fresh flowers, assertive lemons and lime peel. Full-bodied, it shows vibrancy and zesty acidity soaked with sea breezes. Polished texture yet chewy and consistent. Warming yet balanced finish."
For You If: You're after HUGE levels of complexity, lots of savory character, and a finish that just won't quit; you're after an amazing pairing for seafood done with almonds or other nuts and a little bit of rich olive oil or butter.
Not For You If: You're after something fruity - this has lovely citrus fruit but it's mainly about the savory aromas and flavors.
