Lower ABV There's a lot of pretty poor Moscato d'Asti out there. And then there's Perrone, perhaps the benchmark for what can be done with passion and commitment. This is from a single vineyard at 350 meters elevation, hand harvested, and crafted with care. It's bursting with luscious fruit, ginger and spice, happily bubbly, a bit creamy mid-palate, and finishes crisp and refreshing. At just 5.5% alcohol, it's a great afternoon sipper and even brunch/breakfast pairing. And, of course, it will rock with fruit-filled dessert tarts. Outstanding.
For You If: You want more than sweet and bubbles from Moscato - you're after texture, complexity, joy and a clean finish that keeps you coming back for more.
Not For You If: You're 100% adverse to residual sugar - although if you try this, there's a good chance you'll soon push your glass out for another pour!
