At any other winery, this would be their top Pinot Blanc, if not their top white overall.  It's from a super-steep, mountainside, site with barren quartz soils and huge swings in day/night temperature. Wine Spectator describes it well: "A fragrant white, with hints of preserved lemon, petrol and wild thyme lacing flavors of poached apricot and pear, plus a rich touch of toasted hazelnut and the tang of grapefruit sorbet. A crackling streak of salinity combines with stone and other mineral accents on the long, creamy finish."

For You If:  You already love Pinot Blanc/Bianco - this is a great one; you're looking for a stunning match for crab or anything salty/cheesy; you're having artichokes - this is one of the few wines that actually enhance that dish!

Not For You If:   You're in the mood for something creamy/buttery/oaky - this is crisp and linear and while aged in oak, shows no oaky flavors.
