If you know Calirette de Die at all, it's for the region's vividly refreshing, aromatic, off-dry sparkling wines like Moscato di Asti (but better!). But Thierry Marcel also crafts a spicy DRY version using the "Methode Traditionelle" technique from Champagne. It's 100% Clairette with 9 months on the lees and zero added sugar (so "Brut Nature"). Small bubbles and a creamy mouthfeel pull you in to spiced pear and apple fruit with a touch of hazelnut and toast character that builds through the dry, gentle, finish. A terrific Prosecco and Cremant alternative for welcoming guests or toasting the end of the day.
