Lower ABV A fantastic Italian rosé, crammed full of ripe and underripe strawberry and cherry served up in a round texture and crisp, dry, finish. It’s from the Lugana region on Lake Garda and “Chiaretto” – from the Italian “chiaro” meaning pale – is the designation for pink wines here. Maragogna’s blends Groppello, Marzemino, Barbera and Sangiovese all grown and picked for pink wine and is done all in steel. A delicious sipper and light meal companion.
For You If: You like zippy, crunchy, mouthwatering rosé that stays away from the peach/watermelon flavors of Provencal examples.
Not For You If: You want something soft or not fully dry – this is bursting with fruit, but it’s definitely dry and crisp.
