Organic/Bio This wine really should come with a warning label: "Caution: Dangerously delicious. Maintain at least two bottles on hand at all time. Recommend at least one bottle per guest to avoid bottle wrestling over the dinner table." It’s really that good. From vines approaching 100 years of age growing in free-standing, goblet, style, farmed organically, harvested by hand and then made in the old-fashioned way with no sulfur used until a tiny drop at bottling. There’s more than enough richness and fruit here to make it a perfect foil to anything you’re pulling off the grill: burgers, sausages, ears of corn, mushrooms and vegetables, whatever. But the structure is so juicy and fine that it takes a chill nicely, too. The perfect bottle to pour into wineglasses (or even tumblers) and sip while enjoying summery backyard fun.
"Here’s a stunningly concentrated and richly textural Brouilly! The mouthfeel on the full-bodied palate is as amazing as the wide spectrum of floral and spice aromas. So much sour cherry fruit behind this, then great crushed rock minerality at the super-long velvety finish. From one-hundred-year-old vines growing on volcanic soil."
