Organic/Bio From a terrific, rocky, vineyard in Graves, it’s roughly equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with around 5% Petit Verdot and a splash of Cab Franc, all aged in around 50% new oak. There's plenty of 2016 rich fruit and texture here but also a beam of minerality - graphite, warm stones - and a hint of ink that adds interest. Fine, firm, tannins come up to give this the structure you'd want with lamb.
For You If: You’re looking for Bordeaux where the fruit has fallen back enough to taste the minerality and feel the nicely grippy structure.
Not For You If: You're after something plump or juicy - this is more serious stuff!
