As you’d guess from the label, this is old-fashioned California Zinfandel if from a young winery (founded 2005) and youngish vines (planted 2008). But the vines planted near Rockpile Vyd are from an old clone - Saint Peter's Church – taken from a 100+ year-old block in Coverdale, near Geyserville. Picked ripe and heady, aged 18 months in American oak and longer in bottle, it’s rich, deep, spicy, heady, fun.

"Full-bodied red with stewed plums, blueberries, chocolate, orange peel and roasted herbs on the nose. Rich and layered, with medium tannins and a nice juxtaposition of cooked fruit, citrus zest and herbal elements. Drink now."
