Organic/Bio Lower ABV The finest red wine site within the large Morgeot 1er Cru and one of the best in all of Chassagne, Boudriotte gives wines of dark fruit, sweet spice, and plenty of supple power. In the super-dry 2020 vintage, winegrower Sebastian Caillat coaxed perfect ripeness from his Pinot Noir grapes here at a lovely, elegant, 13.2% alcohol. About 20% new French oak shapes the wine without marking it with "woody" flavors, although Boudriotte's own smoky, spicy, character comes through in spades. This wants a few years in cellar, so best from 2025 forward. Still fun to try with a decant now!

Still a lively crimson purple but what a beautiful bouquet, classical pinot in a slightly riper register, not massively full bodied. The usual arrangement of tannins but reasonably fine, could just use an extra point of acidity. Still the raspberry and cherry aromatics are a delight." Jasper Morris 90-93 points
