A new estate to most of the USA, Champagne Jean Pernet is an excellent family owned estate of 40 acres centered in Le Mesnil sur Oger with vineyards in Vertus, Chouilly, Epernay, Chavot and Leuvrigny.  This is one of their top wines, 100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru vineyards in Le Mesnil sur Oger blending wine from vintage 2015 plus reserve wines for extra complexity and aged 36 months on the lees.

It's truly "luxury" Champagne in every way but price. The aromas and flavors are bold and deep, with plenty of toasted bread, fresh butter, white orchard and stone fruits and a crisp kick of green citrus at the end. Tiny bubbles and a hint of gold to the color make it lovely in the glass and the complexity, richness, and long and toasty finish keep you coming back for more.  Just 500 cases made.
