Jayson Pahlmeyer crafts this luscious Napa red from barrels that just miss the cut for his higher-end (and much harder to find) Pahlmeyer Red. Blending Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc and Petite Sirah, it's the perfect blend of silky smoothness and bold power.

"Blackcurrants and blueberries on the nose with some spice and sandalwood undertones. Medium to full body with creamy tannins and a firm, racy finish. Lots of dark-berry and crushed-stone character at the end. Focused and well crafted. Drinkable now, but better in two or three years."

"Deeply structured, with a dense core of lively acidity and tannins framed by dried currant, savory tarragon and sandalwood accents, which gather tension on the finish. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best from 2023 through 2029."
