As the winery says, "This wine reminds us of being in a Chicago steakhouse - old school leather booths, seasoned waiters preparing a table side Caesar Salad, and a New York Strip Steak cooked to perfection, ending with a dark chocolate Crème Brûlée." It's a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Sangiovese aged in French (80%) and American oak that shows big, ripe and plush. Bold cherry, blackberry and plum fruit is framed in notes of chocolaty, spicy, oak and lifted by a squirt of zesty, refreshing, acids on the end. Not too serious, but classy and satisfying.
For You If: You’re into that Cal-Ital vibe and want a stylish Cab that can handle Mama’s lasagna while Frank Sinatra croons in the background.
