A mostly old-school Vino Nobile Riserva with a touch of Canaiolo and other local grapes mixed in with Sangiovese and aging mainly on big, old, Slavonian oak cask. It's a gutsy, dark fruited, wine with deep black cherry and plum fruit and a savory, smoky, feel. Excellent wine for steak, stews and rich pasta dishes.
