A fresh and delicious take on Chateauneuf Blanc, kept energetic by fermentation and aging in steel and with no malolactic fermentation. Blending Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne and Bourboulenc, it serves up bold aromas of white flowers, crisp apples and freshly zested lemon. Feels remarkably light on the palate for white CDP, but there's plenty of depth to the flavors of ripe stone fruit, yellow citrus and a hint of toasted nuts. Finishes warm, rich, and very comforting and will be just right for foods like roast pork and rich seafood dishes.
"There's beautiful fruit purity on display in this wine, with fresh Bosc pear, star fruit, fresh-cut chives and thyme. Buttercream details add to the lushness, while bitterness, chalk-fine tannins and notes of flint bring structure and balance. A very harmonious white. Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne and Bourboulenc. Drink now through 2027."
"Aged for 8 months in stainless steel tanks, the 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Les Hauts de Barville wafts from the glass with fragrant yellow apple, quince, lime, white peach and melon aromas. Medium to full-bodied and framed by bright acidity, it shows great finesse on the complex finish."
