A stylish, really well-made, Rioja that allows the wine grapes’ and place signature to shine through without intrusive oak. It blends 95% Tempranillo with 5% Mazuelo (Carignan) and ages 12 months in a 50/50 mix of French and American oak. Rich aromas of black plum and polish lead to a palate of sweet, ripe, raspberry and plum fruit with accents of fresh herbs and fine, supple, tannins. Nice density and texture, too. Ready now, but no rush.
