This is crazy good, which makes sense as growing and making Galicia's Mencia in Australia's Adelaide Hills is pretty crazy.  Really, just try it.  You'll be floored.

"Lively and sharply focused on the nose, displaying spice- accented cherry and red currant scents and a strong floral overtone. Appealingly sweet, energetic red fruit, rose pastille and succulent herb flavors put on weight as the wine opens up. The floral quality drives a long, smooth finish that features even tannins and a smoky mineral flourish. This is quite an impressive example of Mencía. from the New World or from anywhere."
