Lower ABVWe could go on and on about the traditions of this Swiss family living in Gascogny since the 1920s, the unique growing conditions, and how the fruit here is related to (or just used as) Cognac grapes. But why? This is just stupid delicious white wine that happens to be a blend of Colombard, Ugni Blanc, Gros Manseng and Sauvignon Blanc. It's explosively scented and flavored, really bursting with tangerine, green apple and zesty lime fruit wrapped in a double handful of yellow flowers and fresh, savory, herb.
So much body and texture here - a bit Riesling-like in feel - with a crisp, decisive, bite on the juicy, mouthwatering finish. Just 11.5% alcohol, so you won't feel bad about your second (or third) glass. A poolside chiller extraordinaire and pretty stunning with cheeses and salads anytime. Really, seriously, good stuff from importer Mary Taylor.
