Delphine Laborde and her husband, Pierre-Emmanuel, made just 40 cases (480 bottles) of Rosé Champagne for their first release, so we were pretty delighted to get 72 bottles. This is around 55% Chardonnay and 45% Pinot Noir including 12% red Pinot Noir still wine made in house. About 60% of the blend is vintage 2020 with 40% reserve wines from 2019 and 2018. The blend of power, structure and elegance is textbook, with layered aromas and flavors of ripe stone fruit, pomegranate and blood orange and a nice bite of citrus pith on the dry finish. Sneaky long on the palate and finish, it's delicious and ready to drink now and over the next 4-5 years.
