Famed Northern Rhone producer Ferraton Pere & Fils branches out to the Languedoc, but keeps a Syrah focus here in this blend of 62% Syrah and 38% Grenache that's 100% delicious. It's full for Syrah's dark blue/black fruit with a touch of roasted meat and some sweet spice plus a dash of Grenache raspberry and baked strawberry - a mouthful of plump, ripe, fruit with a just-right savory edge. Certainly a fun party red and better still with something off the grill.
