There's an argument to be made that this is the most "classic" Mosel Riesling of all, one from the region's finest vineyard and most traditional winemaker that always captures the essence of slate, fruit, and steel that makes Mosel Riesling so profound and compelling. As always there's a bit of reduction/sulfur on the nose now, but it blows off to reveal super-intense fruit and mineral flavors and just enough residual sugar to balance the biting acids. Lovely and sure to end up with its usual 94-96 point raves.
