Big and cheerful aromas of crushed red and black cherry pull you into a darkly fruited wine that fills you mouth without any excess or fat. A sprinkle of crushed black pepper adds interest and the smooth finish sails on nicely. Supple enough for a Pinot drinker who wants something darker, gutsy enough for a Cotes du Rhone or California red blend fan, it's just a great all-purpose cookout, party and solo sipper at just 13.0% alcohol.
For You If: You're looking for a party red that's full of character and will please a crowd; you enjoy a wine with plenty of fruit and guts that stays fresh and easy to drink.
Not For You If: You're after something with a lot of power/grip - this is really silky-smooth and easy; you like your wines earthy or oak - this is all about the fruit and spice and the oak here is just an accent, not a leading player.
