As always, the essence of Chavignol Sancerre from the Kimmeridgian soils of Monts Damnes.  It's amazingly aromatic, serving up bold scents of fresh herb, pulpy citrus, and biting gooseberry fruit. In the mouth, the citrusy fruit is bold and ripe and served up with steely, chalky, minerality and zesty, lemony, acidity.  Partial barrel fermentation adds a touch of creaminess to the texture, and it finishes long, long, long, with captivating fruit, herb and stone flavors lingering.
