Julie is a child of the Northern Rhone and her husband, Graeme, from New Zealand and they met while working for legendary Norther Rhone aster Stephane Ogier. Now they are making some stunning Northern Rhone wines themselves, including a Dunnuck 92 point Condrieu that will set you back $80. This is from their younger vines in Condrieu and delivers a great introduction to the world's top site for Viognier. The aromas and flavors are intensely pure and deep, with oodles of sweet summer floral and ripe stone fruit character. The texture is sublime, with almost Riesling-like clarity, verve, and cut and super stony minerality that's hardly ever found in this grape. This is a joy to drink right now with freshwater fish, salads, or solo. You will like this.
