Organic/Bio Lower ABV This is just stupid delicious, all-purpose, Chianti from low-yielding Sangiovese vineyards outside the Classico zone with just a few bunches of Canaiolo and other local grapes scattered around for spice. Hand harvested, barrel aged, and silky smooth, this is bursting with ripe red and black cherry fruit, hints of cured tobacco and crushed violets. The texture is superb, especially at this price point, as is the freshness and level of detail to the flavors and refined finish. Yummy.

"A perfectly classic Sangiovese nose of cherries, soil, fennel and orange peel opens for a palate still rich with cherries and candied orange but also sanguine notes of soil, pennies and grilled meat, with firm but flexible tannins."
