From Duras on the borders of Bergerac and Bordeaux, here's a wine that drinks like a Cotes du Rhone - easy, versatile, delicious - with flavors and texture to appeal to California Cabernet fans. Blending 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, it's richly textured with ripe, round, tannins and plenty of fleshy redcurrant and raspberry fruit. The long finish has a just-right and satisfying level of grip to keep the big fruit flavors flowing. Nice wine, nice value.
