The Gitton family got into the Sancerre business in 1945, back when making a wine living in the Loire meant driving your bottles into Paris and selling direct to bistros. They're bigger now, but just as traditional in how they do wine. This is from the cool 2021 harvest and Hauterivian limestone soils and fairly sizzles with energy, crunchy green orchard and citrus fruit, and salty stone minerality. Pretty brilliant, actually.
