A remarkably stylis Medoc Cru Bourgeois made from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot and aged in 40% new French oak. There's a lot of "cigar box" complexity on the nose and palate here with excellent flesh and fine, spicy, tannins. A Bordeaux for steak right now and over the next 5-7 years.
"The 2018 La Pirouette, a Cru Bourgeois matured in 40% new oak, has a well-defined bouquet of blackberry, tobacco and black pepper aromas that display good intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained, supple tannin. I appreciate the balance and focus of this wine, which is harmonious and silky-smooth toward the finish. This will be bottled early next year. Try to grab some."
