Another classic release of this standard-bearer for Santa Barbara Pinot. As always, there's plenty of dark cherry and red berry fruit here with a touch of fresh earth, smoke and spice. The winery thinks this is one of their finest bottlings since 2005, in part because of the lovely freshness and firm structure that balances the ripe fruit. Salmon is a natural match here, but duck, chicken, pate, Saturday afternoon - they all work!
