A robust super-Tuscan blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, all aged 12 months in a melange of oak casks. Bold aromas of ripe cherry, beef, herb, chocolate and herb lead to a dry, nicely structured, palate of red berry, plum and black cherry fruit and a dusting of cocoa, vanilla bean and spice. Finishes firm, but smooth, with dark fruit and sweet spice lingering. Steak wine.

"The 2020 Lagone is a very pleasant Maremma red. Succulent cherry/plum fruit, spice, dried herbs, leather, menthol and rose petals are front and center. Medium in body and quite open, the 2020 is a charmer. Drink it over the next few years."
