AR Lenoble only releases vintage Champagne in great harvests, and 2012 certainly qualifies - the best since 2008 when this wine earned 94 points from Wine Advocate! 100% Chardonnay from Chouilly, the northernmost slice of the Cote de Blancs, and a region that gives richer, fleshier, wine. With 10% made in barrel and 7 years on the lees, this is toasty, complex, shows fine drive and is all too easy to drink. As WA said of the 2008, "an icon wine for Chouilly."

"Grand cru Chardonnay and a low dosage set this Champagne up for a great future. That is to say, with its concentrated minerality contrasting with Meyer lemon fruitiness, the wine is only just hinting at some nuttiness and has far to go."
