Meet your new favorite grilling red. From the leading estate in Basilicata, this is a textbook example of Aglianico del Vulture that’s picked late and aged 20 months in large, old, oak casks. It’s loaded with dark red raspberry and blueberry fruit with captivating accents of fresh leather, herb and earthy tar. As always with Aglianico, there's plenty of acidity and tannin, but both are well integrated and the tannins are powdery and supple. A great match for sausages or lamb with olives or roasted peppers!
"Dried blueberries and redcurrants on the nose with a raisiny edge. Medium-bodied with grainy, spice-coated tannins that pull on the fruit at the end. Very aglianico! Should broaden out with another year or two in bottle. Try from 2023." James Suckling 90 points
