Perched just below Bonnes-Mares on the border with Morey-Saint-Denis, this blends the perfume and elegance of Chambolle with the guts and intensity of Morey.
"The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Bussières 1er Cru, which includes 20% whole bunches, offers pretty raspberry and wild strawberry scents and hints of rose petal. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, gently gripping on the front of the mouth. The slightly firm, rigid finish will require three or four years to mellow. Drink 2022-2034"
"An attractively layered if somewhat toasty nose features notes of black cherry that enjoy pretty top notes of violet, lavender and discreet spice elements. The finer medium-bodied flavors possess an appealing inner mouth perfume before culminating in textured, sappy and ever-so-mildly rustic finish. This well-made effort should drink well after only a few years and be capable of rewarding the better part of a decade of cellaring."
