In 1750, the Pecresse-Perrier family purchased and planted 5 acres land in between what are now Latour, Pichon Lalande and Pichon Baron. When the family put the property up for sale 265 years later, Latour and Pichon Baron both attempted to buy the vines to add to their 1st and 2nd Growth labels, but Belgian-born Chris Cardon was able to close the deal. He established Bellevue-Cardon in 2015, hired Eric Boissenot to consult, and now turns out around 350 cases per year of excellent Pauillac that packs in much of the quality of its famous neighbors at a much, MUCH, better price!
"A very attractive, spicy dark-fruit thread of aromas that make for a beautifully ripe impression. Blackberry coulis and dark chocolate really seduce on the palate with a wealth of ripe and juicy, fleshy appeal. Long, succulent tannins really carve the finish deep. Try from 2023."
