Description of Tasting:

Sometimes we go for a theme in our weekend tastings and sometimes…well, it’s just a whole bunch of really delicious wines!  We’re in the latter camp for this Friday at the first of two different free weekend tastings.  Join us Friday from 3-7pm to sample:

Ch du Coing Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie Monnières St. Fiacre 2017 – A mouthful of a name for a big mouthful of Melon de Bourgogne crushed stone, seashell and green apple and citrus fruit. This needed the time – six years! – to be ready and now it very much is.

Dom Henri Cruchon La Cote Morges Le Morgen 2021 – Staying with the low-fruit, high texture theme, this beauty proves you can drink really good Swiss white wine and not break the bank. Subtle and captivating.

Piratas del Ebro Rioja Alavesa Chatxo 2020 – All Tempranillo from Rioja Alavesa that’s bursting with ripe red fruit and has a velvety texture with no oak to get in the way of immediate enjoyment.

Girolamo Russo A'Rina 2021 – The wine in the shop right now Doug most wants you to try is this stunningly fresh, minerally, and complex Nerello Mascalese from Sicily’s Mt. Etna. Big yum here.

The Icon Rock Mendoza Red Blend 2022 – There’s a whole lot of rich black fruit flavor and texture here in this bold blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec from high-altitude Mendoza sites. Great value, too.

You’ll love the wines all by themselves and with a nibble of something savory from the cheese case as well. And you’ll love the mix/match savings for six/12 bottle purchases too.  Come by Friday and again on Saturday for an entirely different set of wines!
