Reserve Your Seats Online Here! There are few places in the world where more excitement is bubbling through a formerly stiff and structure wine culture than in Spain. Well known grapes like Garnacha and Tempranillo are popping up from new places. Formerly obscure grapes like Mencia, Bobal, Treixadura and Prieto Picudo are coming to the fore. And all eyes are turning to regions previously overlooked, like Ribeira Sacra, Sierra de Gredos, Manchuela and more. And even in more well-known places, winegrowing increasingly aims for freshness and winemaking holds oak influence in check. In short, there’s a lot of delicious innovation going on in Spain these days, and we’re going to explore it! We’ll cover some of the same material as we did in the March version of this class, but with an all (or, at least almost all) new set of wines from every corner of Spain. If the container/shipping gods work with us, we’ll even have a brand new wine from Raul Perez (fingers crossed).
