Description of Tasting:

This is one of those weekend tastings that really runs the gamut!  From sizzling value (and just plain sizzling) Vinho Verde Rose to very grand white Burgundy and equally grand Mendoza Malbec, you’ll find wines for casual sipping, fancy meals, and cellaring for years. All on sale and special mix/match savings.  Join us Friday from 3-7pm to try:

Quinta da Raza Vinho Verde Rose 2024 - “Regular” Vinho Verde is just about the most refreshing white wine value in the world. And here the folks at Quinta do Raza have taken the same approach to pink wine – with results just as deliciously exciting!

Bzikot Bourgogne Blanc Cote d’Or 2023 - It’s so tempting to call this “baby Puligny Montrachet” that…well, what the heck. It’s baby Puligny Montrachet from a trio of vineyards that all abut the village AOC boundary.

Bzikot Puligny Montrachet Village 2023 – You’ll appreciate the step up in concentration and complexity here. You may appreciate the super value price (for village white Burgundy) even more!

Frasca La Guaragna Freisa d'Asti 2021 – Freisa is cousin to Barolo’s Nebbiolo grape, but it’s the more casual, cool, fun-loving member of the family! The grape name comes from Latin for “strawberry” and you’ll certainly taste a big basked of berries here along with a hint of dark florals. Yum!

Andeluna Malbec Gualtallary Pasionado 2019 – One of the most deliciously impressive Mendoza Malbecs we’ve tried in a long while. It’s a big wine, but with outstanding elegance and balance, loaded with rich blackcurrant fruit and finishing with lively structure and grip.

With the wines, taste what happens when Jose goes a little wild and leans into the spice of summer with Laura Chenel Mango Habanero Fresh Goat Cheese Log.  Fresh, creamy goat cheese is mixed with ripe mango and habanero pepper for the perfect balance of sweet, creaminess and heat. Add excitement to your next cheese board or use it to spice up anything from ice cream to tacos. Yes, really, ice cream. Come in and ask – Jose will explain!
