Description of Tasting:

On Saturday we’re leaning into French classics including what may just be our absolute favorite rosé of 2024 so far.  Join us from noon-4pm on Saturday and sample:

Dom De L'Olivette Bandol Rosé 2024 – Bandol Rosé is built on Mourvedre (here 40%) that gives this wine a touch of earthy, gutsy, character that’s perfectly freshened by snappy Cinsault and easygoing Grenache. Complex, refreshing and a delight at table!

Bzikot Bourgogne Blanc Cote d’Or 2023 - It’s so tempting to call this “baby Puligny Montrachet” that…well, what the heck. It’s baby Puligny Montrachet from a trio of vineyards that all abut the village AOC boundary.

Bzikot Puligny Montrachet Village 2023 – You’ll appreciate the step up in concentration and complexity here. You may appreciate the super value price (for village white Burgundy) even more.

Maillard Chorey-les-Beaune 2021 – Pascal Maillard’s flagship Pinot Noir always has terrific fruit but this year it adds even more savory, earthy, complexity.

Dom De Piaugier Cotes du Rhone La Grange de Piaugier 2022 – An “old school” Cotes du Rhone that’s full of dark red raspberry fruit complicated by notes of black olive and what the French call garrigue – the smells and flavors of wild thyme, rosemary and lavender that dot the southern Rhone countryside.

With the wines try a bite of Jose’s newest passion: Laura Chenel Mango Habanero Fresh Goat Cheese Log. It’s sure to spice up your weekend at least as much as the wines!
