Giuseppe "Beppe" Caviola's journey from making wine in the late 1980s in his parents' Piemonte garage to Gambero Rosso's Winemaker of the Year award in 2022 was fast and furious. Unlike his wines, which have always delivered an understated charm with more focus on freshness than showy intensity.  And while a top notch Barolo is certainly impressive, it's the more "humble" Barbera and Dolcetto reds we love the most.
