Organic/Bio Eric Bouletin is an “under the radar” winegrower of the Southern Rhone, crafting wines that are full of big, fleshy, fruit while remaining poised and fresh enough to be highly drinkable. Like here. As Dunnuck says in the 94 point review, "Serious stuff and beautifully structured, the 2022 La Grande Terre offers red and black fruits, chocolate, roasted garrigue, and toasted spice, all wrapped in a medium to full-bodied, round, mouth-filling package. The balance here is impeccable, and this is a stunning Vacqueyras that delivers richness without excess or heaviness. The 2022 is based on 60% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, and the rest Syrah, aged eight months in concrete vats."
For You If: You're looking for a great Rhone red to enjoy with roasts or stews or even just burgers; you'd like to have a classy red that's delicious already and can improve for 8+ years in cellar, too.
Not For You If: You're looking for light or soft - this is a full-bodied wine with some grip on the back, althoough it's hardly heavy and remarkably poised.
