A fantastic summer red from the almost extinct Lacrima grape grown in Morro d'Alba in Marche (not Piemonte).  "Lacrima" = tears = the teardrop shape of the grape. It's difficult to grow and was nearly extinct before the Lucchetti helped bring it back to life. It's a perfumy red - a relative of Muscat - that delivers generous notes of cherry, lavender, and strawberry with an almost creamy texture and very light grip on the close. It's delicious solo and with all kinds of cheese, salami and snacks and will be absolutely happy served at cellar temp on a warm afternoon. Delicious and delightful!

For You If:  You're looking for a summer/chillable red that has real body and isn't all fruit - the lavender/wildflower perfume here is captivating without going over-the-top in any way at all.
