Lower ABV It's tempting to think of Txakoli as kind of a Basque take on Vinho Verde. But despite often sharing a touch of spritz, Txakoli is uniquely delicious, mineral and compelling. Like here in a blend of 40% Hondarrabi Beltza (red) and 60% Hondarrabi Zuri (white) grown just off the Bay of Biscaye. Crunch raspberry and tart red currant fruit get lift from a dash of wild herb and prickly spritz on the bone dry finish. Light, lively and lovely stuff.
For You If: You're looking for light, dry, super-refreshing rose that isn't at ALL like Provencal versions; you enjoy Steininger's Cabernet Rose - this is in the vein with a touch more energy.
