Lower ABV An exceptionally drinkable and authentic Bourgogne Rouge that - unusually - is priced to drink and enjoy as well! From a well-exposed, clay-limestone, vineyard in the Hauts Cote de Beane, it delivers a perfect blend of juicy black cherry fruit and "sauvage" - the subtle earthy/gamy note that makes Burgundy, well, Burgundy! Finishes with sour cherry freshness and a fine grip that will work with duck or beef and not get in the way of solo sipping.
For You If: Certainly if you love red Burgundy and can't afford to drink it as often as you'd like; anyone who is fan of Pinot Noir that is both nicely ripe and about more than fruit and oak.
Not For You If: You're looking for super-rich "power Pinot" or lots of very ripe fruit - this is hardly thin or sour, but delights for it's melding of ripeness, structure and earthy complexity.
