Organic/Bio Lower ABV As Burghound says, “If you're unfamiliar with the Thibert wines you owe it to yourself to try one of two examples as the best are excellent.” Here’s the place to start with a wine that draws on vineyards around Fuisse, including some small plots in 1er Cru sites. There’s tremendous complexity and depth to the citrus and green stone fruit flavors up front that broaden into richer orchard fruits before a nice kick of salty minerality comes up on the end. A touch of reduction highlights the hazelnut and mineral aromas and gives the wine a little Puligny Montrachet character, although the ripeness and open personality keeps it squarely in Pouilly-Fuisse. A terrific wine already, improving for a half-dozen years and holding longer than that.

“Sweet Spot Outstanding. A broad-ranging nose is comprised by notes of mint tea, dried white and yellow peach and a whisper of passion fruit. The succulent and generous flavors possess a lovely underlying tension on the saline-inflected and very dry finale. This is rich but it is essentially a wine of finesse.”
