Organic/Bio Lower ABV From vines planted in 1990 and 1991, this shows both old-vine density and remarkable vigor. There's sizzling freshness here - the first thing you notice. Then the ripe stone fruit flavors come up with loads of Key lime zest and chalky stone. Really fizzes through the mouthwatering finish where a hint of candied lime peel peeks out. With air, the wine rounds out and more crisp pear and apple fruit come out and it relaxes a bit and the super-long finish just gets more complex. It is alive and irresistible right now and for the next half-dozen years or so.
"The 2020 Mâcon-Prissé En Chailloux unfurls in the glass with scents of pastry cream, crisp green apple, pear, white flowers and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, satiny and precise, with lively aids and a bright, fine-boned profile, it's a compelling effort in this modest appellation."
“The slightly denser aromas transmit a vague hint of the exotic in the form of melon and pineapple hints on the mostly white fleshed fruit aromas. There is excellent intensity and precise to the solidly concentrated middle weight flavors that exude a refreshing salinity on the equally dry and sneaky long finish. This too offers very good quality for its level.”
