Organic/Bio Peaches and cream with a honeysuckle garnish and dusty rocks at the end. There’s plenty to say about this delicious white Cotes du Rhone, but that’s a pretty clear description of what you’ll find in your glass as you sip this blend of roughly 50% Viognier, 40% Grenache blanc and 10% Clairette done all in tank.
It’s definitely rich and creamy on your palate, but the fruit stays fresh and bright, especially as notes of lemon peel and tangerine come up as the wine opens. A bit more acidity than you expect in a Cotes du Rhone Blanc – thank the cool growing season for that! But still soft and round with a bit of dusty stone grip on the finish to keep things fresh and flowing. It’s a fun and tasty sip for a sunny afternoon with enough complexity and character to carry on through dinner and beyond.
For You If: You’re looking for a white with real fruit – but not fruity! – and creamy textured – but not oaky! – to enjoy with seafood, grilled chicken a burger or just solo.
