Organic/Bio From the plains below this Gigondas winery, this is savory, robust red built on around 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and splashes of Cinsault and Mouvedre done in concrete. As Suckling says in the 91 point review, "Mulberries, roasted meat, bay leaves and some gravy. Medium- to full-bodied with plush tannins. Intense core of berries and herbs dominate on the palate. Textured, dense and well balanced, with a vibrant, powdery finish." Soft enough for sipping and bold enough for big flavors at table, especially dishes with lots of herbs, olives or garlic.
For You If: You're in the mood for a full-bodied and full-flavored red with a soft, easy, texture and finish.
Not For You If: You're after loads of Grenache red fruit or powerful grip and grab - the Syrah here takes things more black-fruited and the feel is soft and round.
