Lower ABV Importer Ed Addiss had been trying to get an allocation of this tiny production Loire Valley white from Switzerland's Chasselas grape for years. Doug and Bryan fawning over it at WineParis in early 2026 finally unlocked the door! Yes, it's from vines not far from Pouilly Fume, but it drinks like a mountain wine - if from a sunny, flower-covered, mountain. Crunchy pear and peach, wildflowers, mountain herbs, chalk and wax all shine here in a white that's both very light and definitely substantial. Certainly a great wine for melted cheese - raclettee or fondue anyone? - and shelfish - steamed, broiled or fried - but a sip taken after chomping on the leg of a well roasted chicken will be pretty superb, too. Tiny production, even less imported, so grab it now. If you buy enough, maybe we'll be able to pry some out of the winery next year, too!

For You If:  You already love the high-texture, low alcohol/fruit, whites of Switzerland and Savoie - this drinks like those from a sunny, warm, year; the thought of a wine with loads of flavor and texture and minerality but not much overt fruit sounds good to you - we confess, it sounds pretty great to us!
