Organic/Bio "Such a fantastic wine...a triumph among triumphs." Can't really argue with the Advocate's 96 point praise. This is the best New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc I've ever put in my mouth. And if you're after the interplay of rich texture with intense minerality, ripe stone fruits and crushed seashells, and immediate impact with huge length, this is for you, too. It won't delight anyonen who wants their NZ Sauvignon to be full of huge tropical fruit, jalapeno snap or anything approaching grassy.
But if you like what Wine Enthusiast describes in their 95 point review..."It's concentrated, flavorsome, but never forced or over-made. There's pronounced minerality—like stones, shells and fresh cut meadow crunching underfoot—and salted margarita vibes, with pineapple rind garnish. Bright, tangy acidity and herb-and-citrus flavors aren't shy on the palate, but they never shout their presence. Mouth-watering and textural enough to be food friendly; the mineral core anchors a ship of flavor."
For You If: You like the minerality and focus of great Sancerre with a touch of New World fruit and warm growing seeason texture - although made by a Sancerre estate and sharing Sancerre's mineral/food-friendly vibe, this is definitely something different and more exciting for it!
