Stunning Montepulciano of big depth, richness and delight. As Vinous says in the 93 point review, "The 2019 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Fosso Cancelli is impossible to ignore, showing a blend of cherry and plum sauce, balsamic spices and dried citrus. It's velvety in texture with fleshy red berry fruits and sweet exotic spice. This finishes staining and long, leaving a web of fine tannins to mingle with nuances of blood orange and savory herbs. The complexity here is off the charts."

For You If:  You're after the black fruit, velvet, character of Montepulciano with an extra dose or intensity and complexity; you're looking for a great Italian red to enjoy with rich stews and braises.

Not For You If:  You're after juicy/easy party wine - Montepulciano does that, too, but this is more serious.
